Raspberry Mocha Latte

Hi all! Since this is my first “official” posting, I want to make it a little more personal by sharing my absolute favorite (and simple!) drink.

I discovered my love for the raspberry-chocolate combination from a Christmas pack of Land O Lakes raspberry hot chocolate nearly a decade ago. With the little amount of sleep I get these days, I’ve learned to upgrade that same smooth flavor with a kick of caffeine.

Here’s how to order:

  1. Ask your barista for a mocha latte.
  2. Choose a milk base. Regular 2% milk works best to bring out the full chocolate flavor and frothiness, but skim or a substitute can be used for a lighter, flatter flavor.
  3. Ask your barista to add raspberry syrup to your mocha. They will adjust the regular amount of chocolate syrup in the mocha so that your drink will still be balanced with the espresso, rather than being overpowered by syrups.
  4. If you’d like, have your drink topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce for a more decadent experience. Enjoy!

***You can also get this drink in an iced or frozen version. In that case, the milk base is less important because the flavor will depend more on how well-blended and balanced your drink is made.
